Robert Kahn has been a leader in corporate and consumer brand strategy for over 25 years. Most recently Bob was Chief Marketing Officer at NetJets, a Berkshire Hathaway company where he led the marketing department during a time of significant change that resulted in a dramatic turnaround from a loss of over $700 million in 2009 to a profit of $200 million in 2010.
Prior to founding Kahn Consulting, LLC he ran Ogilvy & Mather's Brand Asset Management Group, and also served as the General Manager of the Brand Integration Group. At Ogilvy, Kahn developed branding solutions for American Express, IBM, Kodak, DuPont, Goldman Sachs, Time Warner Cable and others. Kahn is perhaps best known as a founding member of FutureBrand, the global consultancy of McCann-Erickson. FutureBrand started in San Francisco with a few consultants and subsequently grew to 30 international offices with a staff of over 500. The company became recognized for numerous breakthroughs in brand consulting including the FutureBrand methodology that utilized future trends consulting in the brand development process. For over ten years, Kahn led numerous major client engagements including General Motors, Northrop Grumman, Coca-Cola, Kodak, Nestle, Motorola, Bank of Montreal, Saudi Aramco, Air Canada and Lufthansa. Previously, he was CMO at Enterprise IG and was Senior Strategist for Faith Popcorn's Brain Reserve. Earlier in his career, Kahn co-managed the corporate identity practice for Landor Associates, San Francisco, where clients included Hilton, Mazda, Hyatt, Century 21, Warner Bros and Dollar Rent-a-Car. Previously, he was a partner in the design and marketing boutique, Dyer/Kahn. He has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. A frequent presenter at branding forums, Kahn has authored numerous articles and has been featured on CNBC, USA Today, Adweek, MSNBC, NY Times and the WSJ.
